Designed to commemorate the beginning of production for the legendary Fiat 500 in Turin, Italy, some 60 years ago, the car is a retro limited-edition variant of the current 'Series 4' 500 hatchback to Australia.
Priced at $21,990 before on-road costs, or$2000 more than the 500 Lounge manual, the Anniversario gets exclusive 'heritage paint' options – Sicilia Orange and Riviera Green – along with 16-inch vintage-style alloy wheels with diamond-turned finish, chrome accents on the bonnet and mirror caps, and special seat trim with horizontal-striped fabric and embroidered '500' logo.
You also get special build plaques and badging throughout.
Being based on the top-spec Lounge variant, the 500 Anniversario is powered by the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine as the wider Fiat 500 range, which develops 51kW of power and 102Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels via either a five-speed manual or six-speed 'Dualogic' automated manual.
Other features carried over from the donor car include a Uconnect 5.0-inch infotainment system with satellite navigation, bluetooth phone and audio streaming, rear parking sensors, DAB+ digital radio, and a 7.0-inch TFT driver's instrument display.
Just 60 examples of the 500 Anniversario Special Edition will be available across Australia.
