2018 McLaren Ultimate Series teased again ahead of December reveal

The next-generation McLaren Ultimate Series hypercar has been teased again, with the sports car maker confirming its new vehicle will be unveiled online on December 10, UK time.

The as-yet unnamed car, won't receive its full public debut until the 2018 Geneva motor show, which takes place in March.

Said to be "track concentrated", the new Ultimate Series model will replace the P1 and the P1 GTR in the company's range.

This latest teaser image gives us a look at the car's thin LED tail-light, and some of the surrounding louvres and body panels. Many of these pieces are, predictably, constructed out of carbon-fibre.

Details about the BP23 are scant at the moment, although the company claims it will be the "most extreme road-legal McLaren ever" and the "world’s first Hyper-GT".

An earlier teaser revealed a set of three centrally mounted exhaust tips, while camouflaged "spy" photos have provided us with a good view of the car's overall shape. An earlier sketch hinted at a long rear end with a large diffuser.

Like the legendary F1, the new Ultimate Series model will feature seating for three people in a 1+2 layout, with the driver situated in the centre.

Just 106 examples of the new Ultimate Series model will be sold.
