This nifty invention converts your H-Pattern manual into a sequential shifter

While wandering around SEMA 2017, we ran into Bremer Shifters, a stand that was displaying an innovative way to convert your H-Pattern gearbox into a sequential style shifter.

Fitment is extremely easy, Bremer reckons, with no requirement to even drop the gearbox at all. You simply unbolt your existing shifter to accommodate the Bremer conversion shifter.

We had a chat to Russ from Bremer, who gave us the rundown.

The system gives the ease of up/down shifting through the gears and lightning pace. Although it does not eliminate the need to use the clutch, the Bremer adapter includes an output that can be connected to your CAN inputs on your ECU.

So, if you have a compatible ECU, we imagine it could be programmed to rev match on the downshifts and ignition-cut on the upshifts to help smooth shifting.

Another cool feature is that you can relocate your shifter via the remote shifter attachment.

The Remote Shifting Adaptor allows you to mount your handle anywhere you want. Perfect for those retro fits where the shifting handle doesn't quite work where you want it. Or if you just want to move where your shifter is currently located.

For those who want to reverse the pattern of your shifter, you can. Simply undo the six bolts and spin the top 180 degrees, and bolt it back down. You now have the reverse pattern.

If you're used to a softer shift actuation, you can even adjust that also.

Simply swap the springs (three sets supplied) and you can increase or decrease the amount of resistance you feel to shift gears.

The system is currently available for Tremec boxes, but we've been promised they will soon be available for other applications including Getrag and Nissan, to name a few.
