2018 Jeep Wrangler: Mopar parts teased at SEMA show

Parts and tuning arm Mopar has taken to the 2017 SEMA show to give a sneak peak of its upcoming accessories and parts range for the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler, which itself was only revealed days ago.

Some 200 products were previewed by Pietro Gorlier, head of Mopar parts and service at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). The line-up includes everything from lift kits, beadlock-capable wheels, off-road bumpers, LED light bars and rock rails.

"An iconic vehicle such as Jeep Wrangler deserves nothing but the best, which is why the Mopar and Jeep brands have developed a new set of product solutions to meet the unique lifestyles of Wrangler owners," Golier said.

"From Jeep Performance Parts like winches and wheels to accessories such as bikini tops and tailgate tables, Mopar has incorporated input from Wrangler owners in bringing to the marketplace the most powerful, reliable and authentic lineup of accessories and performance parts available."

Mopar's range of accessories and Jeep Performance Parts have been subject to over 100,000 hours of development, validation and testing, and the company says these products will be available in dealerships when the new Wrangler launches.

FCA's North American division says some 98 per cent of Jeep Wranglers are usually upgraded with at least one Mopar product, demonstrating why such an extensive range of parts and accessories have already been developed.

Other parts set to be available to Wrangler customers include spare tyre covers, vehicle graphics, floor mats, 'Bikini tops' which help protect occupants from UV rays when the hardtop is removed, and a winch.

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler (above) will be fully detailed at the Los Angeles motor show at the end of the month, so stay tuned to CarAdvice for our coverage.

Australia

While FCA's local division couldn't confirm any details of the new Wrangler or the Mopar accessories range at this stage, Lucy McLellan, head of public relations and communications, told CarAdvice that the Australian arm has seen a take-up rate of 94 per cent for Mopar accessories locally, with 1500 different products currently offered.
