Toyota Camry 2007 Specifications

Yesterday saw the launch of one Australia's most important cars, the Toyota Camry, the car which might indeed become the number 1 family car in Australia in next year or so. The Toyota Camry is available with a five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Traction Control (TRC) and curtain-shield airbags.

The four model tyoes are Toyota Camry Altise, Toyota Camry Ateva, Toyota Camry Sportivo and Toyota Camry Grande. Grande comes standard with VSC and TRC and rain-sensing windscreen wipers, features usually suited to more expensive European cars. The New Camry has an exterior length of 4815mm, only 10mm longer than the old model.

The Toyota Camry’s performance and driveability have slightly improved with no increase in fuel economy compared with the current model. The Camry has fuel economy of 8.9litres/100km for the manual model and 9.9 litres/100km for the automatic.

The Toyot Camry Altise and Sportivo models the 2.4-litre engine comes with a choice of a five-speed manual transmission or the new five-speed automatic transmission. On the Ateva and Grande models, five-speed automatic transmission comes as standard equipment, no word yet if these models can be fitted with the five-speed manual transmission.

The Toyota Camry range are all fitted with a 117kW 2.4-litre engine equipped with

ABS with Brake Assist (BA)

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)

Toyota has also fitted

These above features come standard in Camry Altise model

Altise options include 16-inch alloy wheels and rear lip spoiler, enhanced safety pack consisting of front-seat side and full-length side curtain-shield airbags (making a total of six airbags), and metallic paint.
