Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake officially unveiled

The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake has been officially unveiled this week, with the British marque and Italian design house unwrapping the final design of the fourth member in the Vanquish Zagato family.

With just 99 examples to be built, the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is perhaps the most eye-catching model in the quartet, with its swoopy extended roofline extending into a fast-backed tailgate.

The two-seat hatchback incorporates Zagato's 'double bubble' roof design, and makes extensive use of glass panels to let light "flood into the cabin".

While there are no shots of the luggage area as yet, the Shooting Brake comes with its own tailored luggage set. There's also a powered tailgate for ease-of-use, and front occupants are treated to a herringbone carbon-fibre fascia with anodised bronze rotary controls on the centre console.

Under the bonnet is the same 5.9-litre V12 (though Aston Martin calls it a 6.0-litre) featuring in the wider Vanquish Zagato range and 'regular' Vanquish S, developing 444kW of power and 630Nm of torque.

All that grunt is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission.

Production of the Zagato Shooting Brake is due to commence in 2018, with 99 units slated for production. This adds to the 28 Speedsters (all of which are already sold), 99 Coupes and 99 Volantes, adding up to a total production run of 325 vehicles.

CarAdvice has contacted Aston Martin's local arm regarding local availability and pricing for the Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake, so stay tuned for an update with those details.
