Opel Meriva revealed at Geneva complete with suicide doors

As seen in the original concept, and indeed in CarAdvice's own spy photos, the Opel Meriva has gone on show at Geneva overnight, complete with the suicide doors.

Opel's lawyers insist they be called "Flex Doors," but either way the hinge arrangement allows back-seat passengers easier entry and egress from the brand's new people mover.

The classy exterior designed is matched within by a flexible centre console assembly and "Flexspace Seating" that allows the rear seats to be adjusted laterally to make a third (centre) position. The rear bumper also includes a bicycle carrier.

The Meriva will feature a similar engine and transmission line up to the current Opel Astra with a choice of petrol and diesel units available.

Release timing and price has not yet been confirmed.
