2010 Dodge Journey adds Safety Equipment

The Dodge Journey has been updated for 2010 with a list of new standard features. Now with active head restraints, tinted sunscreen glass and leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls added to the whole range.

"The Dodge brand was one of the few brands to finish in the black last year. This year the brand will again play an important role with key models such as Nitro, Journey and the soon to be updated Caliber," said Gerry Jenkins, Managing Director, Chrysler Australia

With its flexible interior added safety and sporty looks the Dodge Journey offers customers an alternative to the popular family hauling 4WD.

The Dodge Journey is offered with two engine choices, a 2.0-litre turbo diesel or a 2.7-litre V6 with a six speed automatic transmission. The standard engine is the V6 which is offered on both SXT and the higher specced  R/T, and produces 136 kW and 246 Nm of torque with a fuel consumption of 10.3 L/100km.

The 2.0-litre turbo diesel is only available on the R/T model with 103 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque and has a combined fuel consumption rating of 6.7 L/100km mated to a six speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

Safety equipment for the 2010 model includes ESC with traction control, Brake Assist and ABS. Active head restraints for the front seats as well as seat mounted air bags add to the front airbags and curtain air bags.

The options list include Media Centre with navigation, a 30 gigabyte hard drive with Voice Command, iPod Control and U connect Phone. The rear seat passengers can be entertained with a nine inch screen with wireless headphones.
