Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet drop its lid at Geneva 2010

Mercedes-Benz has today unveiled its all new E-Class Cabriolet at the Geneva Motor Show.

Fitted with some all-new features for the German marque, the E-Class Cabriolet boasts a new technology called AIRCAP. The AIRCAP technology actively reduces air turbulence in the cabin at the press of a button.

In addition to AIRCAP, AIRSCARF aims to heat the neck of a driver with warm air, perfect for those chilly days where the sun disappears.

With the ability to open and close in 20 seconds, the soft-top roof can be operated at speeds up to 40km/h.

New petrol and diesel engines range in power output from 125kW to 285kW. Although an AMG model wasn't launched at the Geneva Motor Show, you can expect the Germans to fit its chaotic 6.2-litre V8 to the E-Class Cabriolet in the not too distant future.

The E-Class Cabriolet is a genuine four-seater and can comfortably seat four adults.

More information will be available when Mercedes-Benz confirms local details.
