Valmet Eva electric concept set for Geneva Motor Show debut

Some concept vehicles at next week’s Geneva Motor Show will preview an upcoming production model while others will simply be there to show off.

The Valmet Eva 2+2 electric city car fits into the latter category as little more than an announcement to the world by the Finnish manufacturer of what it is capable of, rather than any short-term production plans.

With its lightweight body structure and innovative recharging system, the Eva is capable of travelling up to 160km on a single charge.

Teaming with Nokia, Valmet says the car is equipped with a “pioneering Human Machine Interface through mobile handset connectivity”, and I guess we’ll take their word for it.

The satellite navigation system also cleverly includes map data which helps select the greenest routes.

The Valmet Eva will make its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show on March 2.
