Pagani Tricolore special edition air force images

With the Pagani Zonda coming towards the end of its life, one more limited edition is designed to give the Italian hypercar a deserving send off.

The Pagani Tricolore is as limited edition as it gets, with just one vehicle ever to be made, and an expected price of US$1.75 million (AUD$1.98 million).

The Tricolore is basically a Pagani Cinque, which is basically a detuned Zonda R, meaning power from the 7.3-litre V12 is down from 552kW to 499kW.

With a semi-transparent paint job unashamedly revealing the car’s carbon fibre body, the Tricolore is both light and lightning fast, hitting 100km/h from rest in just 3.4 seconds and pulling up back to a standstill in 2.1 seconds.

Adorned with the red, white and green stripes of the Italian flag and paying tribute to the homeland’s air force, the first official images of the Tricolore are some of the most striking examples of automotive photography we have seen in some time.

The Pagani Tricolore will make its world debut at next week’s Geneva Motor Show, but for those of us who can’t make it, Pagani has given us a real treat here. Enjoy.
