To celebrate, at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show, Maserati will unveil its celebration of these awards with...wait for it...an "Awards Edition" Quattroporte.
It's based on the Quattroporte Sport GT S, and apart from tacking on the "Awards Edition" name tag, it also receives an exclusive colour called Quarzo fuso. The press release describes it as "a pearlescent metallic grey with golden nuanced colour", which is why we quoted it rather than trying to describe it from the pictures.
All the exterior chrome treatments have been endowed with a burnished finish, and even the dual-cast brake calipers have been hand polished to achieve a mirror-like finish, which should make it interested when they get caked with brake dust.
Inside, Poltrona Frau leather coats the seats, with perforated Alcantara inserts, as well as a dark Alcantara headlining. Brushed aluminum door sills and Piano Black satin-finish wood moldings complete the bespoke look. Even the boot has been taken care of with extra chrome accents, and floor mats made of thicker, softer materials.
Overseas, we'll see the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S "Awards Edition" (whew, that's a mouthful) available from late this year.
Maserati spokesperson Edward Rowe told CarAdvice we can expect the "Awards Edition" on our roads early next year.
