2017 Frankfurt motor show: What to expect

Germany’s biennial Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) is comfortably the world’s largest motor show, with a huge 881,100 visitors browsing the displays of over 1000 exhibitors in 2013 - and even more at the most recent show, in 2015, with 931,700 through the turnstiles.

Known to many as the Frankfurt motor show, the IAA has hosted the debut of many key global models in recent decades. In 2015, that included - among many others - the long-awaited Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, the big Bentley Bentayga, BMW's new 7 Series, the Jaguar F-Pace, the new C-Class Coupe, Holden's new Astra hatch (as an Opel, of course), and the new Volkswagen Tiguan.

This year’s show, the 67th Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung, promises a huge haul of its own – many that have been revealed already, and many that remain well under wraps. For now, at least…
