Deni ute on a pole to be named in competition

The Deniliquin Ute Muster, an event that attracts record crowds to the small rural town each year, has for over a decade now been recognised by a 'Ute on a pole' in one of the town's parks, though curiously, the feature has remained unnamed.

Now organisers of the Deni Ute Muster and Deniliquin Council are asking people to think of a name for the iconic landmark, and have today launched a competition to do so.

The 'Ute on a pole', a WB V8 Holden Ute, sits some six metres above the ground and attracts thousands of visitors each year, including CarAdvice who attended the Muster in 2008.

Entering the competition couldn't be easier. Australian Automotive, Australia’s largest circulating Automotive Industry magazine, published by VACC asks people to
simply write down their suggestion and send it to editor@australianautomotive.com .

The winner will be announced in September, just prior to the event.
