BMW M3 Competition package launched in the UK

From March 20, BMW UK will offer a Competition Package for its M3 Coupé. The package comprises a revised EDC (Electronic Damper Control) system that now includes a new Sport setting which, mated to 10mm lower suspension, improves M3's already impressive handling.

The Competition Package also includes DSC+ (Dynamic Stability Control Plus) that offers less electronic intervention than before allowing for a "more enthusiastic driving style". The Competition Package also includes exclusively designed 19-inch light-weight alloy wheels, inspired by the popular E46 M3 CSL.

The Competition Package is priced at £3,315 (AUD$5,784) in addition to the standard BMW M3 Coupé’s £52,730 (AUD$92,000) list price.

At the same time, BMW will also feature Auto Start-Stop technology as standard on all versions of the M3. This feature adds to the car's existing Brake Energy Regeneration feature to further reduce CO2 emissions and is offered on both manual and automatic variants. No other high-performance car currently offers start-stop technology.
