2018 Lexus LX Superior: More aggressive model revealed in Russia

The Lexus LX Superior has been unveiled in Russia with sportier and more aggressive styling.

According to Drive Russia, the new Superior variant of the LX570 will begin arriving in Russian showrooms from October this year.

Exclusive features include a new black web-like insert for the grille, black wing mirror covers, and sporty-looking extensions for the front and rear bumpers.

Other standard features include adaptive shock absorbers, 21-inch alloy wheels with 275/50 tyres, and LED headlights.

Upgrades for the interior are less extensive, with the Superior gaining aluminium pedals, new wood options, and, for an additional charge, black ceiling headlining.

The LX570 Superior's drivetrain is unchanged, with a 5.7-litre V8, in Russian trim, generating 274kW of power and 530Nm of torque. An eight-speed automatic is standard.

Indian Autos Blog reports the sportier-looking LX will be sold in the Middle East as the LX570S. Gulf-bound models are said to feature a rose red interior with black accents.

Australia

It's unknown if the LX570 Superior or something similar will be heading down under. At this stage, Lexus Australia has no information to share about local updates to the LX range.
