2019 Fisker EMotion revealed

Over the weekend, Henrik Fisker published the first full photo of the EMotion's production body on his Twitter account.

In the tweet, he claimed the EMotion would be the "world's most advanced EV". He also reiterated details that have already been confirmed, including its range of over 643 kilometres (400 miles).

In a later tweet, Fisker stated the EMotion initially will not ship with graphene super-capacitors as originally announced. Instead, the EMotion will have a lithium-ion battery with "state of the art NMC [lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide] chemistry produced by world's leading battery [company]".

Fisker is still developing its own energy storage technology, as "our efforts in graphene & solid state continue!"

Compared to the concept unveiled at the end of 2016, the latest version of the EMotion features larger wing mirrors, deeper doors, and a visible method for opening said doors.

From a teaser last week, we've already seen the car's redesigned front end, complete with a fake grille, which the LIDAR sensor necessary for many autonomous driving features.

Other confirmed features of the EMotion include an aluminium and carbon-fibre structure, lightweight Dymag wheels, and a proprietary UltraCharger system, which can give the EMotion 160km of driving range in just nine minutes.

The company will begin taking pre-orders for the EMotion from June 30, 2017, although the car's in-the-flesh debut isn't scheduled until August 17 this year.

Pricing for the Fisker EMotion begins at US$129,000 ($172,000). The car is slated to go into production in time for the USA's 2019 model year, which can start any time in 2018 through to late 2019.
