2011-2016 Audi A4, A5, A6 recalled for fire risk – UPDATE

Update - The original version of this article showed a current-generation 'B9' Audi A4, which isn't affected by the recall

Audi has recalled 2252 vehicles across its 2011 to 2016 A4, A5 and A6 lines over concerns a faulty coolant pump could pose a fire risk.

The German luxury marque reports foreign particles in the coolant could lead to a blockage in the additional coolant pump, causing the pump to overheat.

If the condition occurs, this could pose a fire risk.

Owners of the recalled Audi units will be contacted by mail, and are encouraged to get in touch with their local dealer for the inspection and repair of their vehicle.
