2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake teased ahead of reveal on June 14

The upcoming 2018 Jaguar XF Sportbrake has been teased once again, with the company confirming the new wagon will be revealed on June 14 by the world's number-one tennis player, Andy Murray.

In this latest teaser and accompanying video, the XF Sportbrake is covered in a tennis ball-themed disguise, acknowledging the company's official partnership with the iconic Wimbledon Grand Slam tennis tournament this year, of which Murray is the defending champion.

The clip shows Jaguar brand ambassador and former tennis pro, Tim Henman, driving the XF Sportbrake prototype to the most remote tennis court in the UK, located in Bunabhainneadar on the Scottish island of North Harris.

Accompanied by Susan MacCormick, an Edinburgh native, Henman and the XF Sportbrake travelled to the picturesque location to prove to Andy Murray the court exists - MacCormick tweeted a photo of Bunabhainneadar's court in 2015, which went viral and prompted a response from the world's current number-one tennis professional.

Henman and MacCormick met up with upcoming junior tennis player, Logan Urquhart, for a quick match on the remote grasscourt which belongs to the Outer Hebrides Tennis Club.

Jaguar claims the XF Sportbrake will be the "most dynamic premium estate car in the world" when it launches later this year.

The XF Sportbrake has already been teased in sketches, though the overall design appears to drop a higher, longer wagon roofline on the XF sedan.

With Jaguar being the official car partner for the 2017 Wimbledon tournament, expect to see the first examples of the company's luxury wagon carting the world's elite tennis players to and from the All England Club.

Australia

Jaguar's local arm has confirmed the new XF Sportbrake will be offered Down Under, with a mid-to-late fourth-quarter launch (most likely December) expected.

The British wagon will be something of a unicorn in the Australian market, with its only natural rivals being the recently-revealed BMW 5 Series Touring and Volvo V90 - the latter, however, has been delayed to the point where it may just be dropped.

Pricing and specifications cannot be confirmed at this point, though we can expect local details to be available in the coming months.
