Honda Civic hatch Orange Edition launched

To mark the launch of the all-new Honda Civic hatch, the brand’s local arm has added a unique Orange Edition version to the range.

In the second such instance of Honda Australia seemingly being unwilling to wait to give buyers an alternative to their new model lines – it launched the Black Pack as soon as the Civic sedan hit showroom floors – the company claims the limited edition kit is “inspired by Honda’s global motorsport activities”.

There are only 100 examples of the Orange Edition model available, “ensuring exclusivity for those customers keen to let their personal style shine through” on their 2017 Civic hatch.

The Orange Edition kit costs $2998 fitted, and is available to be fitted to the VTi, VTI-S, VTi-L and VTi-LX – not the RS, which already has some body-coloured sporty parts – provided they’re finished in one of the following four paint hues: White Orchid Pearlescent, Lunar Silver Metallic, Sonic Grey Pearlescent and Crystal Black Pearlescent.

The kit includes:

  • Orange front lower spoiler
  • Orange door and mirror decal set
  • Orange side skirt set
  • Orange rear lower spoiler
  • Black 17-inch alloy wheels - a step up over the 16s fitted to the VTi and VTi-S models

Never fear, though: Civic hatch buyers can also option the Black Pack, just like those who choose to ‘murder out’ their sedan, so long as they don’t buy the RS, because it already has sporty sport bits.

The Black Pack includes, for its $2998 fee:

  • Black front under spoiler
  • Black door mirror covers
  • Black side skirts
  • Black rear lower spoiler
  • Black 17-inch alloy wheels (4)

“The ‘Black Pack’ edition proved to be extremely popular with dealers and customers when we launched the all-new Honda Civic sedan, so we’ve extended the scope for customers to individualise the all-new Civic hatch with the introduction of the Orange Edition,” said Honda Australia director, Stephen Collins.
