Geely teases MPV concept ahead of Shanghai debut

Chinese manufacturer Geely has released a teaser image of a concept car that will preview its first people mover, ahead of its official reveal at the Shanghai motor show next week.

The new Geely MPV concept is the company's first foray into the people-mover segment, and is claimed to wear an evolution of Chinese design elements the brand has become known for.

From the image above, we can see the head- and tail-lights will have a prominent three-stroke LED signature, a character line over the front wheel arch, a tapered roofline and a long glasshouse that extends almost to the rear windscreen - note the up-kick of the windowline over the rear third quarter.

Using some photo-editing wizardry, we've managed to shed a little more light on the Geely concept (above), and can also see that the design of the rear will be an angular two-tier design, not dissimilar to the Skoda Kodiaq SUV.

The front end appears to have a very upright and aggressive look, which should give this new people mover an imposing stance.

Other details of the Geely concept are still to be revealed, so stay tuned to CarAdvice for our coverage of the 2017 Shanghai motor show.
