Skoda Vision E sketch may preview Kodiaq Coupe

A shadowy sketch of the upcoming Skoda Vision E concept car has been revealed.

According to Skoda, the Vision E has "an emotive design, full of character and with features inspired by crystal glass art".

Christian Strube, Skoda's head of research and development, recently confirmed to Autocar and others that the company was working on a "really emotional" electric vehicle concept based on the Volkswagen Group's upcoming MEB platform.

This EV concept is set to debut at next month's Shanghai motor show. Although Skoda has yet to say when the Vision E will make its public debut, the timing of this sketch and its name seems to indicate that the Vision E will step out in Shanghai.

Earlier this week, the Ferd Facebook page posted a presentation slide (above) outlining the company's product plans for China. Following on from the seven-seat Kodiaq crossover, Skoda plans on launching three new SUVs: a Kodiaq Coupe, and two other models, dubbed Model K and Model Q.

One of these unnamed vehicles is believed to be the replacement for the Yeti, while the other should be a new addition to the brand's range.

With its steeply raked tailgate, the Vision E seems to be a 'coupe SUV', meaning that it could also preview the styling for Kodiaq Coupe.
