2016-17 Volkswagen Golf recalled for tyre placard labels
Volkswagen has issued a recall for 411 examples of its 2016 and 2017 model-year Golf over concerns certain vehicles could be fitted with incorrect tyre placard labels.
The company says the affected vehicles may have labels displaying the wrong specifications for the vehicle.
A wheel and tyre combination may be fitted to the vehicle that does not meet the vehicle's requirements, which could affect the handling of the vehicle, and posing a possible safety risk to occupants and other road users.
The VIN numbers for the affected vehicles can be viewed here.
Owners of the recalled Golf models will be contacted via mail and are encouraged to visit their local dealer to have the correct tyre label fitted.
