Did Volvo preview the 2018 S60 in its XC60 teaser this week?

CGI vehicles in XC60 safety images could hint at new sedan

The next-generation 2018 Volvo S60 may have made a short cameo in the photo demonstrations for the new XC60 SUV's safety systems.

Spotted by keen-eyed CarAdvice reader, Graeme, the vehicle in question is seen parked on the side of the road in one of the images demonstrating the XC60's driver assistance features.

Zooming in shows the computer-generated vehicle to be the shape of a sedan which looks very similar to the S60.

However, the shape of the tail-light outlines and indentation of the bootlid differs from the current model (above), suggesting Volvo put the next-generation sedan in the video as an easter egg.

The Swedish company hasn't confirmed whether the vehicle is indeed the new S60, but you can understand them wanting to keep the next-generation model under wraps.
