Chevrolet Camaro Track concept revealed

The Chevrolet Camaro Track concept has been revealed, debuting at the Geneva motor show in all its green glory.

Based on the V8-powered Camaro SS variant, the Track concept features a number of enhancements to give it more bite on the track, while still being comfortable enough for everyday use.

Under the bonnet is a 6.2-litre naturally-aspirated V8 engine producing 339kW of power and 617Nm of torque.

Drive is sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission with steering-mounted paddle shifters.

However, Chevrolet is remaining tight-lipped about performance times for now.

Distinguishing the Camaro Track concept from other models, other than the bright satin green exterior paint with gloss black stripes, are the new front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and rear spoiler, along with black Chevrolet badging at the front and rear.

Filling the arches are 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels, wrapped in 285/30 front and 305/30 rear tyres.

Under the skin, the Camaro Track concept is fitted with the company's Magnetic Ride Suspension, an electronic limited-slip differential, bi-modal exhaust system, and Brembo performance brakes.

Inside, the track-focused muscle car features Recaro bucket seats, Alcantara flat-bottomed steering wheel, Alcantara trim highlights throughout the cabin, aluminium pedals and unique floor mats.
