Alpina B3 S and B4 S detailed, confirmed for Australia
Powered-up duo landing here in late-2017
The Alpina B3 S Bi-Turbo and Alpina B4 S Bi-Turbo have been revealed and detailed ahead of their debut at the Geneva motor show this week.
While they don't look very different, the B3 S and B4 S have been fitted with new turbochargers, a new cooling system, retuned suspension and remapped transmission software.
The result is a seven per cent increase in power and a 10 per cent rise in torque, bringing outputs to 323kW and 660Nm - which is more than the 317kW/550Nm produced by the 'standard' BMW M3 and M4.
Acceleration remains the same, with 0-100km/h completed in as little as 4.2 seconds for the B3 S sedan and B4 S coupe, while top speed is rated at up to 306km/h depending on model.
Australia
Patrick Fielding, general manager for Alpina's local distributor The In Motion Group, confirmed with CarAdvice that the B3 S and B4 S will arrive in Australia "very late this year".
Expect pricing and specifications for the new models to be detailed closer to launch.
