2016 Mercedes-Benz E-Class recalled for wiper fix
Mercedes-Benz has issued a recall for 769 of its 2016 E-Class sedans over concerns the front windscreen wiper could fail.
The German marque reports the electrical wiring harness for the front windscreen wiper motor hasn't been routed correctly, and due to the movement on the wiper linkage the electrical wiring harness could become damaged. If the condition occurs, the wiper motor may fail.
Mercedes-Benz says a wiper failure poses a hazard for the driver, as visibility may be impaired in adverse weather conditions and could increase the risk of an accident.
Affected E-Class models were available for sale from 1 April 2016 through 31 August 2016.
Owners of the recalled vehicles will be contacted via mail, and will be advised of further action to obtain a repair.
