Lamborghini Huracan Performante teased ahead of Geneva debut – UPDATE

Upgraded aero package detailed for new track-focused bull

Update - This article previously stated the Huracan Performante would be revealed on March 1, however the reveal will take place on March 7.

The all-out Lamborghini Huracan Performante has been teased ahead of its global reveal on March 7 at the 2017 Geneva motor show.

In a new online video, Lamborghini details the new model's active aerodynamics package, helping the Huracan Performante to be a serious track weapon - namely around the famous Nurburgring circuit.

Dubbed Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA), or Lamborghini active aerodynamics (the Italian sounds much sexier), the technology includes an active front spoiler and rear wing.

Both the front and rear active aero components have two modes - one for maximum downforce and the other for reducing drag - depending on whether the driver is favouring handling or top speed.

It's still unknown what will power the hardcore Huracan, though it's likely an uprated version of the 'standard' car's 448kW/560Nm 5.2-litre V10.

Last month, Lamborghini's head of research and development told CarAdvice the Huracan Performante will be quicker around the Nurburgring than the manic Aventador SV.

Stay tuned to CarAdvice for our coverage of the 2017 Geneva motor show next month.
