Peugeot Instinct concept leaked ahead of Geneva show

The Peugeot Instinct concept has been leaked ahead of its official unveiling at the 2017 Geneva motor show, which takes place in early March.

The image you see here was published on the official Geneva motor show website. Unfortunately the site doesn't offer any further details about the vehicle, except that it will be shown at Peugeot's stand.

Stylistically, the five-door Instinct may provide some clues as to how Peugeot plans on evolving its current design language. Unlike the latest batch of new Peugeots, the Instinct features a grille that takes up more than three-quarters of the front bumper.

There's also an LED driving light element that follows the left and right edges of the grille before meeting up with the main headlight units. The concept's distinctive blue hue, not to mention industry trends, hint at some sort of electrified drivetrain.

The Instinct will share the motor show limelight alongside the new Partner Tepee Electric. For this new variant, the people mover version of Peugeot's small van ditches its internal combustion engine for an electric motor with 49kW of power and 200Nm of torque.

Hooked up to two lithium-ion battery packs with a total of 22.5kWh of capacity, the Partner Tepee Electric is said to have a driving range of 170km.

The Partner and the larger Expert vans were dropped from the Australian range in 2015, making it even less likely that we'll ever see the Partner Tepee Electric down under.
