Fortune magazine has awarded BMW 21st position on the list of ‘World’s Most Admired Companies’, Toyota was 34th.

BMW Australia is set to welcome the X2 small crossover in the first half of 2018, to rival the likes of the Audi Q2 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The all-new Range Rover Velar has been teased ahead of its world premier, likely to be at the Geneva motor show in March. The Velar will sit between the Evoque and Sport in the Range Rover line up.

The 2017 Skoda Superb Sportline has landed in Australia. For an extra $1000 above the 206TSI model, the Sportline gets a huge range of exterior and interior styling changes.

Renault Australia has confirmed the Trafic is getting a much-needed new addition. The current generation will be available with an automatic transmission - in around 18 months.

The race is on to purchase Proton and its subsidiary Lotus. Renault and Suzuki are believed to have bowed out, but Citroen and Citroen parent PSA Group, and Volvo owner Geely, are reportedly considering bids.

Jaguar has partnered with fuel company Shell and will bring an in-car, cashless payment app to Australia. The technology will allow drivers to pay for fuel using PayPal or Apple Pay through the infotainment system, initially in the F-Pace, XE and XF.

And the CSIRO together with Deakin University have found a way to mass-produce carbon-fibre that is stronger and of a higher quality than what is currently available. It could be a game-changer for the automotive industry.
