Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo beast arrives in Australia

The 2017 Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo has arrived in Australia, serving as the brand's new flagship starting at $369,720 plus on-road costs.

Based on the plush BMW 7 Series, the B7 is powered by a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 that pumps out a meaty 447kW of power and 800Nm of torque, sent to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Alpina claims the 2110kg limousine is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in 4.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 330km/h.

Fuel consumption, meanwhile, is rated at a respectable 9.6L/100km on the combined cycle.

Standard kit includes 21-inch forged 20-spoke alloy wheels, quad exhaust pipes, Lavalina leather throughout the cabin, LED digital instrument cluster with adjustable display modes, BMW Laserlight headlights, head-up display, satellite navigation, panoramic glass roof, rear entertainment system with dual 10-inch displays and Blu-ray player, rear seat massage function, and selectable driving modes.

Available as an option is a Drexler Motorsport mechanical limited-slip differential, which allows for improved traction and stability - particularly at higher speeds.

The Alpina B7 Bi-Turbo is also covered by a three-year, 200,000km warranty.
