Jeep Grand Cherokee ‘Trackhawk’ heading to New York – report
Hellcat-powered SUV to debut in the Big Apple
The upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 'Trackhawk' will make its debut at the New York motor show in April – according to a new report out of the US.
Motor Authority says a "reliable source" has confirmed the Hellcat-powered SUV will be revealed alongside the all-out Dodge Challenger SRT Demon.
Last month, Jeep's CEO, Mike Manley, confirmed a Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee would make it to the market by the end of this year.

Under the bonnet will be the same 6.2-litre supercharged Hemi V8 as the Charger and Challenger Hellcats, which develops a whopping 527kW of power and 880Nm of torque.
That's a significant bump over the current Grand Cherokee SRT, which pumps out 344kW and 624Nm from its 6.4-litre Hemi V8 – a difference of 183kW and 256Nm.
Considering the 'standard' SRT sprints from 0-100km/h in a claimed 4.8 seconds, the Hellcat-powered Grand Cherokee should be able to complete the benchmark dash in the mid-to-low 3.0-second range – potentially quicker – thanks to the extra power and its all-wheel drive system (unlike its Hellcat brethren).
For more details on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk (or whatever it will be called), we'll have to wait at least until the New York motor show in April – that's if Jeep reveals it there.
