Jaguar sales up 13 per cent for 2009

Jaguar Australia has finished 2009 in fine form selling a total of 1010 units for the year. The figure represents a 13 per cent rise over the previous year.

Heading the increase was Jaguar's popular XF model which sold 511 units in 2009, a healthy increase of 45 per cent over the previous year.

"This is a great result for the Jaguar brand, and given the challenging market conditions faced by all car makers, it shows how well accepted the new Jaguar models have been received by consumers" said Mr Chris Lidis, General Manager, Jaguar Australia.

The Jaguar brand was one of only a few luxury marques to record sales growth in 2009.

"With the release of the 10MY XK / XKR in January and the all-new XJ in 2010, the success of the Jaguar brand appears destined to continue", Mr Lidis added.
