Volkswagen Kombi ute with a mad 250 horsepower!

This is not your average Volkswagen Single Cab ute.

Sure, the orange and black paintwork is cool, and its low stance on those huge American racing rims sets the veedub off perfectly.

As advertised on Old Bug, it’s what's underneath that will blow your mind. Powering it is a six-cylinder 3.0-litre Porsche engine that produces 250 horsepower and is matched with a Porsche 915 gearbox and rear suspension.

This is a seriously quick car. And it's street legal. It would be enough to surely get the front wheels off the ground, Herbie-style.

A lot of work has gone into this, as the majority of the body is made of hand-shaped aluminium.

Other modifications include a full tube-frame chassis and double wishbone front suspension, with 15-inch drilled brake rotors with Wilwood calipers.

There’s no room for passengers either, as there’s just a single seat which is pretty much positioned in the centre of the cabin. In case of a rollover, the VW will keep the driver safe with a roll cage built into the body and ties all the way to the back.

There’s no luxuries like an air-conditioner, stereo or even carpet. It’s designed to go fast, and that is all. It has had about USD$150,000 spent on the build, which is crazy money, but we think it’s totally worth it.
