2017 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante revealed – UPDATE
More power, more carbon, less roof
Update (1 November 2017): The Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante is on sale in Australia from $526,950 before on-road costs
The 2017 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante has been unveiled, bringing revised looks and an uprated engine to the drop-top British supercar.
Under the bonnet is the familiar 5.9-litre V12 from the hard-top Vanquish S, developing 444kW of power and 630Nm of torque – 20kW more than the previous model.
While Aston Martin is yet to reveal performance data for the convertible, the re-tuned eight-speed auto and power bump should see the Volante be just off the coupe's 3.5-second 0-100km/h sprint time.
The rest of the updates largely mirror the hard top, including a revised suspension tune, carbon-fibre front splitter and rear diffuser treatments, along with a quad-exhaust system.
Buyers can also specify their Vanquish S Volante with an array of options, including carbon-fibre treatments for interior and exterior and new alloy wheel designs.
Australia
The Aston Martin Vanquish S coupe and Volante have both been confirmed for the Australian market and are available to order now.
First deliveries are expected in April, with the powered-up drop-top starting at $526,950 before on-road costs and options.
