Kepler to release 800hp hybrid supercar at Dubai Motor Show

US based Kepler Motors is planning an 800hp (596kW) hybrid supercar to be dubbed 'Motion'.

Utilising a 550hp (410kW) Ford 3.5-litre twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 - driving the rear wheels - the Motion will also feature a 250hp (186kW) electric motor - driving the front wheels - for some serious all-wheel drive hybrid mumbo.

The unusual arrangement is said to propel the Motion from rest to 100km/h in under 2.5 seconds! Top speed is rated at "in excess of 200mph (322km/h)".

An ultra-lightweight and highly aerodynamic vehicle, the monocoque Motion is largely comprised of carbon fiber and composite materials.

Braking comes compliments of high-performance carbon ceramic rotors on all four wheels. Motion also features active aerodynamic technology, active suspension, launch control and programmable track assistant system.

The Motion hybrid supercar will be on show at the 2009 Dubai International Motor Show later this week with a limited run of 50 models to be made available from sale in 2011. Pricing has not yet advised.
