2017 Mitsubishi Triton pricing and specs: New models, more standard features

The 2017 Mitsubishi Triton update has been announced today, bringing more standard equipment and some minor design tweaks, as well as additional optional equipment available across the expanded range.

That expansion comes courtesy of the addition of a new variant, the Club Cab Chassis with automatic transmission to the base GLX range.

All GLX double cab pick-up variants now get a rear-view camera and a rear step bumper as standard, while all 4x4 variants in the GLX and GLX+ range will now be shod with 16-inch All-Terrain tyres. The GLX range also scores Mitsubishi’s premium AM/FM CD system with a 6.1-inch colour touch screen as well as new key fob design.

The GLX+ range also scores a new variant, the Club Cab pick-up with automatic transmission while all variants – in addition to the added equipment in the GLX range – get auto air-con, piano black instrument trim and some snazzy chrome interior door handles.

The GLS range receives some exterior design tweaks including a dark chrome front grille and headlamp surrounds while inside, the addition of Smartphone Display Audio (SDA) with 7.0-inch colour touch-screen and the addition of two USB outlets and a HDMI port brings the Triton into line with some of its rivals.

The GLS range also scores platform-style side steps, a four-spoke leather steering wheel and improved instrument cluster graphics.

The top-spec Exceed range scores all of the above plus heated front seats and an electro chromatic rear-view mirror.

Metallic and pearlescent paint is a $590 option.

The entire MY17 Triton range is backed by Mitsubishi’s five-year/100,000km warranty is available now from Mitsubishi dealers.
