THE WEEK IN NEWS:

The 2018 Holden Commodore has been revealed. Official images have been released showing what our first fully-imported Commodore will look like.

But...


...Just hours before the official release, the 2018 Holden Commodore liftback and wagon were snapped with barely any camouflage while shooting a promotional video.


The 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia has touched down in Australia. It’s the first rear-wheel drive Alfa since 1992 and, in top-shelf trim, packs a twin-turbo V6.


The Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger claimed the top two spots in the November sales race, followed by the Toyota Corolla.


The new Honda Civic sedan is making its mark for the Japanese brand, with strong sales since its arrival in Australia in July.


Mercedes-AMG had a big sales month in November too, up 18 per cent.


The Volkswagen Tiguan was the star for VW, the medium SUV recording its highest ever monthly sales result in November.


Meantime, Volkswagen Group Australia will begin a voluntary recall of more than 60,000 Volkswagen and Skoda models caught up in the emissions test cheating scandal.


Mitsubishi has been forced to recall almost 75,000 ASX, Pajero Sport and Challenger SUVs from various model years due to a potential tailgate corrosion issue.


The CEO of Mazda says the company is not working on a sports car larger than the MX-5, dashing hopes for an RX-7 successor.


The Mayors of Paris, Madrid, Athens and Mexico City have pledged to ban diesel vehicles by 2025.


Audi has teamed up with Part Time Scientist and plans to send the Audi Lunar Quattro to the moon at the end of next year.


And Lexus has created a spectacular one-off car for a music video. The IS was covered in 41,999 LED lights for Dua Lipa’s ‘Be The One’ video.
