Bentley Bentayga recalled for seat and instrument fix:: 17 vehicles affected

Bentley is recalling 17 of its Bentayga SUVs this week (of around 34 sold in Australia thus far), over concerns a manufacturing fault could cause seat and instrument panel components to come loose.

The manufacturer reports that it has identified missing data records for bolted joints in the seat system and instrument panel.

Bentley says this could mean the bolted joint has not been correctly tightened during production and could loosen over time.

If the condition occurs and the vehicle is involved in a collision, it could increase the risk of injury to the vehicle's occupants.

A VIN list for the affected Bentaygas can be viewed here. The SUVs were sold from 26 November 2015 through 15 November 2016.

Owners of the recalled vehicles are encouraged to contact their Bentley dealer and arrange to have the specific joints identified on each vehicle to be checked and tightened if necessary.
