Local pricing and specifications for the 2017 Infiniti Q60 range have been announced this week, with the premium Japanese coupe starting at $62,900 before on-road costs.
Available from launch are two variants, the entry-level Q60 2.0t GT, and 2.0t GT with Enhancement Pack ($65,900). Both are powered by a 155kW/350Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Fuel consumption is rated at 7.7L/100km on the combined cycle.
Standard on the entry-level model are LED headlights with daytime-running lights, LED fog lights, keyless entry and start, 19-inch alloy wheels with run-flat tyres, heated mirrors, dual-zone climate control, electric steering wheel adjustment with memory, heated eight-way adjustable front seats with driver's power lumbar support, leather seat trim, brushed aluminium interior inserts, six-speaker audio system, DAB radio, dual-screen infotainment system (8.0-inch upper, 7.0-inch lower) with satellite navigation and SUNA live traffic updates, along with front and rear parking sensors.
For an extra $3000, the Enhancement Pack adds adaptive headlights with highbeam assist, power sliding glass sunroof, active noise cancellation, Around View surround camera system, along with a 13-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system - making its global debut in a production vehicle.
On the safety front, all Q60 models are equipped with six airbags, active bonnet and autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with pedestrian protection.
Early next year, the range will be bolstered by the addition of a Q60 Sport Premium variant ($70,900), also powered by the four-pot turbo, along with the range-topping Q60 Red Sport ($88,900) - powered by the company's new 'VR30' 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, which produces a meaty 298kW of power and 475Nm of torque.
