The first of this quintuplet to be revealed is the Design Edition 1 (pictured), which features Vermillion Red exterior paint with five-spoke alloy wheels in a diamond-cut finish, along with a 'Stealth' exhaust and red brake calipers.
Inside, the first 570S special comes with a 'By McLaren' interior package consisting of Apex Red nappa leather/Carbon Black Alcantara seats, Jet Black nappa leather upper dashboard and Apex Red nappa leather lower dashboard, Slate Grey contrasting stitching, dual-colour steering wheel and McLaren-branded leather sill finisher.
Buyers are also able to further customise their vehicles with equipment, trim and extended carbon-fibre options available at extra cost.
Four other Design Editions with different body colours will be offered; Onyx Black, Storm Grey, Ventura Orange and Silica White, with each featuring a unique wheel design, exhaust style and brake caliper colour.
Additionally, each Design Edition comes with its own 'By McLaren' interior package that the designer has decided best compliments the exterior.
In the UK, the Design Edition commands 8500 pounds ($14,218) more than the 'standard' 570S, which starts at $379,000 plus on-road costs in Australia. The company says the package represents good value, considering these options normally can only be specified separately.
Order books are now open overseas for the 570S Design Editions with first deliveries to commence in 2017.
Local pricing for these new Design Edition variants has not been released, and local timing is still to be confirmed.
