2017 Aston Martin DB11 to make Australian debut at Classic Adelaide Rally
The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 will make its first public appearance in Australia at the Classic Adelaide Rally this weekend as part of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
Before first customer deliveries of the new supercar commence at the end of this year, the public will get a chance to see the DB11 get put through its paces around the Adelaide Hills and get up close and personal with the British grand tourer when it goes on display.
Formula One veteran and Le Mans winner, Vern Schuppan, will pilot the DB11 through the Adelaide Hills as part of the Classic Adelaide Rally's 'Marque Tour' on Friday 18 November and Saturday 19 November.
On Saturday 20 November the DB11 will be on display during the Victoria Park Sprint event, alongside Schuppan's iconic 'Almond Green' Aston Martin DB2 - which was originally supplied in 1952 and recently restored in South Austrlalia.
Starting from $395,000 plus on-road costs, the all-new DB11 is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 447kW f power and 700Nm of torque.
Drive is sent to the rear wheels via a rear-mounted eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical limited-slip differential with active torque vectoring.
0-100km/h takes 3.9 seconds, on its way to a top whack of 322km/h.
