Mercedes-Benz Unimog recalled for seatbelt fix:: 11 vehicles affected

The multi-purpose Mercedes-Benz Unimog truck has been recalled over concerns of seatbelt failure.

According to the manufacturer, the 11 affected Unimog model 437s may have an insufficient wall thickness of the seat mounting brackets.

As a result, a mechanical failure of the mounting bracket may occur, which may cause the integrated seatbelt to not function as intended.

A VIN list of the recalled trucks can be viewed here.

Owners of the recalled vehicles will be notified by Mercedes-Benz Australia via mail, and are advised to arrange an appointment with their local dealer to have the fault rectified.

Repairs will be carried out free of charge.
