2017 Lamborghini Aventador coupe facelift spied at the Nurburgring

The facelifted Lamborghini Aventador coupe has been spied during testing at the Nurburgring Nordschleife.

This latest prototype is an Aventador coupe, and the changes we see on this car mirror those that were applied to the facelifted roadster spotted in July.

Up front, the bumper has been subtly redesigned with a wider central air intake and smaller side apertures. Along the sides, the sills have been reshaped to be smoother and flatter.

Perhaps the biggest visual makeover has been reserved for the rear. The updated rear fascia now protrudes out prominently, and features a redesigned surround for the twin central exhaust tips and a can't-miss-it rear diffuser.

Both the Aventador coupe and roadster prototypes feature a new air intake tacked onto the rear pillar. This hints at a power bump for the 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, which in its base LP700-4 trim currently produces 510kW of power and 689Nm of torque.

The Aventador LP700-4 coupe that's available today is capable of blowing through the 0-100km/h standard in 2.9 seconds and hitting a top speed of 350km/h. The roadster is marginally slower to 100km/h, requiring a full three seconds.

It's likely that the updated Lamborgini Aventador range will make its debut around the 2017 Geneva motor show in March.
