Renault Trezor concept revealed early in magazine leak

A French magazine has outed the Renault Trezor concept ahead of its scheduled unveiling at the Paris motor show.

The Trezor was teased late last night, but Automarket, a Romanian website, has managed to secure and publish a copy of the front cover of the November edition of L'Automobile. The magazine's cover not only shows the Trezor, but also the Volkswagen I.D. EV concept.

Renault says that the Trezor "kicks off a new chapter in the history of Renault styling". As such, the design cues used on the this electric coupe will trickle through to production models due to enter showrooms over the next couple years.

The 2010 Dezir concept was billed in a similar manner, and its design ended up filtering through to the 2012 Clio, 2015 Megane and 2016 Koleos amongst many, many others. If you're interested, CarAdvice has compiled a full list of vehicles influenced by the Dezir.

While the Dezir and Trezor are both two-door coupes with wraparound windshields, the Trezor seems to have a lower stance and a more classical set of proportions with a long bonnet and pushed back A-pillars.

Under the skin, the Trezor is said to have a fully electric drivetrain.
