MotorWorld Sydney tickets on sale now, ahead of December opening

Tickets for Australia’s newest motoring festival, MotorWorld Sydney, have gone on sale today following an official media launch for the event on Monday.

MotorWorld Sydney was officially announced back in February. Promising to deliver “Australia’s biggest drive experience”, the event is aimed at connecting car buyers, enthusiasts and industry members with everything car related.

Taking place from December 1 to 4, the event will bring over 140 cars to Sydney’s Eastern Creek raceway, where around 10,000 test drives will take place over four days.

The public will be able to test drive a variety of different cars as well as experience a number of informative and entertaining live demonstrations.

“You can drive everything from a Fiat to a Lotus. The range and the unintimidating way in which you approach those test drives, is what we’re all about and that’s what’s going to make this event”, said Kris Willand, managing director of MotorWorld Sydney.

From mid-October, ticket holders will be given the opportunity to reserve up to three tests drives online prior to the event.

“For those who aren’t lucky enough to get one of those test drives, there are tests drives available on site on the day, but there are also 20 other driving experiences,” Willand said.

During the event, CarAdvice will be conducting two 'Mega Test' reviews; one for the growing compact SUV segment and the other for the sub-60k performance car category.

Featuring over 30 cars, these mega tests will be the largest ever to be undertaken by CarAdvice.

Additionally, the mega tests will involve the general public, giving them the unique experience of participating in the reviewing of cars, and contributing to the outcome.

“For us, this partnership with MotorWorld Sydney presents a great way to educate and empower our consumers with their next new car purchase in exactly the way as we normally do, but in a live environment and with consumers actively involved," CarAdvice Commercial Director, Christian Clark, said.

“What will we be assessing? The thing everyone wants to know about: value for money. Everything from the warranty you get, through to living with it. What better way than to get the consumers in there and actually testing it out.”

Marking the conclusion of the event on Sunday will be the arrival of the Special Olympics Australia 2016 Dream Ride, which will feature a convoy of up to 100 luxury and classic cars as well as over 1000 motorcycles.
