2010-12 Audi A8 4.2 FSI recalled:: 100 vehicles affected
Audi has issued a recall for 109 of its 2010 to 2012 model-year A8 limousines fitted with the 4.2-litre V8 engine over concerns a fluid leak could cause the vehicle to break down.
The manufacturer reports affected vehicles may experience leaks from the solenoid valve which controls the gearbox heating circuit.
If fluid from the heating circuit reaches the connector for the engine control unit, it could fail, resulting in the car breaking down.
Should this occur when the vehicle is in operation, this poses a traffic hazard.
Owners of the affected A8s will be contacted by Audi Australia, and are encouraged to arrange an inspection and repair with their local dealer.
