2017 Audi Q3 update and S Line Competition unveiled
The first-generation Audi Q3 has been given one final refresh before an all-new model goes on sale later this decade.
Unveiled overnight, the update includes a raft of visual changes to the Q3's front fascia, but doesn't alter the car's available equipment, nor are there any drivetrain tweaks.
For the Sport trim line, the fake air intakes on either side of the grille have grown in size. There's also a body-colour blade underneath the lower air intake, and the single-frame grille is now finished off in stone grey.
The S Line models gain a diamond pattern insert for the faux air intakes, a full-width body-colour dividing bar, and a glossy black finish to the single-frame grille.
On Design Line variants, the fake outer air intakes are split horizontally, the front and rear bash plate-style elements are finished off matte silver, and the wheel arch covers are painted stone grey.
Accompanying the update, at least in Europe, Audi will also introduce a Q3 S Line Competition special edition model (pictured here). The S Line Competition features glossy black paint for its grille, air intake covers, wheel arches, rubbing strips, roof rails, wing mirrors, and window surrounds.
Also fitted as standard is the S Line sport suspension package, and 10-spoke 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the special edition model gains sports seats in a mixture of black fabric and leather, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, piano black highlights, and stainless steel pedals. An aluminium gear knob is standard on manual cars, while Nappa leather, or leather and faux suede seat trims are also available.

The revised Audi Q3 range goes on sale throughout Europe during the northern autumn. We're waiting to hear back from the company's local arm about local availability and timing.
