Starting at $70,900 plus on-road costs for the entry-level SLC180, the updated range kicks off nearly $17,000 below the previous SLK range.
The SLC180 is fitted with a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 115kW of power and 250Nm of torque, mated to the company’s nine-speed automatic transmission.
Standard equipment on the entry-level roadster includes 18-inch alloy wheels, Garmin satellite navigation system, solar-reflecting leather upholstery, heated seats, rear-view camera, DAB+ digital radio and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
For an extra $13,000 you can have the SLC200 ($83,855), which is $3345 less than the outgoing SLK200 - the previous entry point to the range.
Under the bonnet of the SLC200 is a larger 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, producing 135kW and 300Nm, mated to a nine-speed automatic.
In addition to the SLC180, the SLC200 features selectable driving modes and electrically-adjustable seats.
Stepping up to the SLC300 will set you back $99,855 - $355 more than the model it replaces.
Powering the SLC300 is an uprated version of the 2.0-litre turbo petrol, producing 180kW of power and 370Nm of torque. Like the rest of the range, a nine-speed auto shifts gears.
Standard equipment over its lesser siblings include 18-inch AMG alloy wheels, AMG exterior styling, lowered sports suspension, keyless entry and start along with Airscarf neck-level heating.
Topping the range is the new Mercedes-AMG SLC43, powered by the same 270kW/520Nm 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 as the rest of the 43-badged AMG range, channelled through a reworked nine-speed automatic transmission.
Priced from $134,615 plus on-road costs, the SLC43 is nearly $10,000 more than the previous SLK350 but a significant $27,395 less than the outgoing V8-powered AMG SLK55.
Despite being 0.1 seconds slower than the SLK55 from 0-100km/h (4.7 seconds), the SLC43 is lighter and more fuel-efficient than the car it replaces - though consumption figures for the performance model are yet to be released.
Equipment-wise, the SLC43 gains AMG sports suspension, AMG high-performance brakes, panoramic sunroof, AMG sports seats trimmed in nappa leather, LED headlights, Comand online navigation system, Harmon Kardon sound system and ambient lighting.
On the safety front, all SLC models feature six airbags, driver fatigue monitor, an active bonnet along with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) with active brake assist.
Adaptive cruise control comes standard with the SLC300.
