2017 Holden Trailblazer revealed, scores five-star ANCAP safety rating
The new Holden Trailblazer has been revealed today, accompanied by confirmation of top five-star safety rating with the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
Adopting the new face from its substantially-updated sibling, the Colorado ute, the Trailblazer also takes the long-serving nameplate from sister company Chevrolet.
Based on the crash tests of the recently-launched Colorado LTZ 4X4 dual cab ute, the Trailblazer scores an overall 34.49 out of a possible 37, including a ‘Good’ rating for pedestrian protection - retaining the maximum five-star rating of its predecessor, the Colorado 7.

Standard safety equipment on all Trailblazer variants include dual front, side chest and head-protecting curtain airbags (which extend across all three seating rows) along with a driver’s knee airbag. Seat belt reminders are also fitted for the first and second rows.
ABS, automatic headlights, daytime-running lights, electronic brakeforce distribution, ESC, emergency brake assist, hill-start assist, rear collision avoidance, roll stability system and trailer stability control are all listed as standard equipment across the entire Trailblazer range.
